This is a plaster cast of my hand that i have added iron shingles to, to try and make the plaster discolour and rust.

To create the cast i first had to create a alginate mould of my hand to pour the plaster into. 

As you can see the iron shingles havent reacted and rusted eventhough i submurged the cast in salt water for a couple of days. However there is a discolouration from some clay that came into contact this the plaster cast once it was set which has given it a nice, slightly aged look.
